We are surrounded by angels aren't we? I guess we just forget sometimes. We forget that the angels all around us, at least the ones we can see, are right in front of our faces asking for juice, to have a book read to them, to watch your every move, to ask questions that seem to have no answers.
.............ANGELS...........
They may appear to "just" be short little humans that don't listen, yell alot, like to push your buttons, want your undivided attention when your attention is already divided 4,000 different ways...but...actually....
They are little bits of God's creations that look to us for unconditional love, for protection, for reassurance, for laughter....for us to make sure they know they ARE angels..even if they appear to be 'just' a talking machine covered in dirt and asking the same questions over...and over..and over...again.
But that's just a disguise.
And, crazy, these angels grow but remain angels!! They try to act all "human" and "cool" but if you look close...You can still see the angel sparks in their eyes and their huge angelic hearts that leave you speechless. It's hard to hid being an angel ya know...
These angels amongst....They can can your breathe away when you realize YOU get to see them everyday.
YOU get the privilege of watching them grow, laugh, wonder, search, find, develop, and become a "bigger" Angel right before your eyes.
I think God did a really good thing when He planned these "Angels" for us. To let us, as grown-ups....
(who still have an inner-angel but one that's been buried beneath "LIFE" for too long to remember feeling that angelic peace...)
.....have these "angels" in our lives...as they serve as a tool to make us better people, to remind us to be better people, to remind us that life doesn't have be be about bills, burdens, and bothers but really can, at times, just be about dancing, dirt pies, and delight.
I know that when I see my five angels...sometimes I forget that they are God's creations that I've been endowed and honored to tend too.
Sometimes I just feel tired, want to lay down, and watch some brain-fodder T.V.
...but...then I catch a glimpse of the angel spark in one of their eyes, or one of them comes up to me and I smother my face in their delicious hair....
And, suddenly, I am reminded of my love for them...and of God's love for me. It's a beautiful circle that I feel amazed to be a part of.
And one that needs my attention, my focus, and my diligence.
Well.... I'm off to get some Angels loved on....even though my angels are trying to disguise themselves as little humans who hate chores :)

(apparently being an angel is quite exhausting)

The ballet photos of Aven make me smile because our littlest princess in her ballet class is the exact opposite. She's the only VERY white, blonde hair, blue eyed girl in a sea of beautiful olive skin girls with deep brown eyes and dark hair! :o)
And I needed the reminder that even our fussy, LOUD and fiesty little prince does have an angel inside.
These are precious. I found your blog via someone else's and enjoyed browsing. Thank you for letting me stop by.
