A fun video Trey did awhile back....Boy got some technie skillz!

I haven't a CLUE where this child gets his inner-drama from?!! huh? weird!

I will be back here talking about what it feels like, as a homeschooling Momma, getting everything together to start a new semester.

The good...The bad...The ugly...The funny!

WHy the Heck do I Blog Anyways?

Well...

This ongoing blog is to provide candid, fun, honest, real, raw, and interesting moments that occur in the lives of 7 people living under one roof...2 adults...5 kids.

I am write to debunk stereotypes about adoption, homeschooling, stay-at-home-mommas (and the poppas!), and whatever else makes me wanna punch somebody :)

If you like crazy and adventurous yet thoughtful and provoking...I hope you will like it here!

It will much more pleasant for you if you ignore my typos and my gushing. They both get out of control :)

and HERE is a way to HELP in GUATEMALA... the NEED is immense.

http://www.theloveofpatricia.org/ This orphan home is being opened by the adoption agency that helped us bring our Guatemalan Princess home. International adoptions are currently on "hold" in Guatemala as the government revamps the program. As a result, the number of orphans without homes is growing daily. And THESE are the most at-risk class of children in Guatemalan. They have no one to help them find food. Could you donate to the new orphan home to help feed at least a few desperately needy children? IF so, PLEASE DO.

Our "CURRENT TEAM STATS"

Here's the currrent run-down:

Jim & I - married 17 years....Who knew?!!

Chase - Our Russian 14 yr old. Came home at age 14 mos.

Trey - Our first 'homemade' baby...He's now 11 but we say he's a 40 year old caught in an 11 yr old body.

Tye - Our 8 yr old Chinese son who's been home 6 years. He came home w/an unrepaired cleft lip and palate. We are on our 8th surgery and are now in neurological therapies unrelated to his cleft issues.

Zane - Our second homemade child who is now 8 years old!

Aven - Our Princessa! We received her, forever, in September '07 when she was 9 mos old. We all lived in Antigua, Guatemala from Sept '07-early Jan.'08 in order to foster her until her adoption was complete. Aven is now 4! ouch!

Story - Our "prayer" daughter...She was our first Guatemalan daughter but her adoption papers were not in order and the Guatemalan judge saw fit to put Story into the forever arms of a loving Guatemalan couple. We are SO very pleased that, though we cannot be the physical parents of Story, we were allowed to pray her into a forever family once we were told she would never be ours. It was horribly hard but God held our hand through it all. She is always in our hearts.
